At National AC Parts, we pride ourselves on getting your orders to you as quickly and affordably as possible. However, as you've likely seen at the pump, the ongoing fuel crisis is creating some significant hurdles for the transport and logistics industry.

To keep you informed and help you plan ahead, we want to share how these external factors could affect our operations:

  • Freight Adjustments: Most third-party logistics companies have introduced a fuel surcharge of up to 10%. While there has been no confirmation of a freight adjustment by the manufacturers as yet, we will continue to work hard to keep freight charges as low as possible while maintaining a reliable service.

  • Delivery Schedules: Some manufacturers are considering consolidating shipments to combat the increase in fuel costs. This means stock and order deliveries to interstate manufacturer warehouses may be reduced to once per week. This could result in a 7 - 10 business days lead. Planning ahead to place orders before weekly cut-offs will be critical to minimise your customer wait times.

Our Contingency Plan: Protecting Your Projects

We aren't just watching the market; we are actively adapting to ensure these industry-wide impacts are minimised the best we can. Here is how we are protecting your business:

  • Bulk Inventory: We are increasing critical and high-demand items stocked at our Gold Coast warehouse. By moving to a bulk ordering model now, we ensure the parts you need most are already on our shelves and ready for immediate collection, regardless of truck schedules.

  • Flexible Collection Windows: We understand that reduced delivery frequencies could put pressure on your project timelines. To help you stay on track, we have extended our trading hours at our Gold Coat warehouse to include early mornings, late evening and weekend collections. This allows you to pick up your orders outside of standard site hours, ensuring you have what you need before the tools come out on Monday morning.

  • Order Consolidation & Cost Sharing: To help beat the current and possible further surcharges, we are encouraging the consolidation of smaller orders into a single, larger shipment. By grouping your requirements with other orders, we can maximise truck space and share the freight costs across multiple customers.

  • Strategic Partnerships: We are actively collaborating with other suppliers (like ourselves) and logistic partners within the region to pool resources and coordinate shipments. By sharing transport networks and consolidating local deliveries, we are reducing the number of trucks on the road. This collective approach not only helps stabilise delivery timeframes but also supports the broader local business community during these challenging times.

  • Transparent Communication: We know your reputation depends on your word. We are committed to providing more frequent, real-time updates so you can manage your own clients' expectations with total confidence.

Our Commitment to You

It's important to note that the changes that have or may occur, are being assessed and passed-on only when required. We will continue to review any processes and pricing increases regularly and keep you up dated with any changes.

We are in this for the long haul with you. Our goal is to ensure that while the world's logistics are changing, your service levels don't have to.

Thanks for your continued support!
